Neighborhood Guide

Battery Park City

NEIBORHOOD DEFINITION

Battery Park City is located along the Hudson River, at the west of the highway (West Street), from Chambers Street down to Battery Park.

ARCHITECTURAL STYLE

In the nationhood of Battery Park City, the architecture is mixed with high-rise and a few low-rise buildings built between the 1980s and 1990s. Some of them were revitalized in the past decade.

LANMARK

The new landmarks of this 92-acre plan are the green building The Riverhouse Condominiums, which has LEED Gold Certification, located at Rockefeller Park, and the 32-story Liberty Luxe and 22-story Liberty Green.  The other remarkable buildings are the 43-story Goldman Sachs headquarters and an eight-story public school.

NEIGHBORHOOD

The Battery Park City with a suburban vibe not only contains luxury apartment but also sits near Wall Street for work and Tribeca for fun. Along the waterfront, there are about 30 acres of green space. With playgrounds, restaurants, shops, Stuyvesant High School, and various entertainments such as the Wintergarden Mall and Regal Multiplex cinema, it provides another convenient neighborhood in Manhattan.
